Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of EEG biofeedback therapy on cognition function of chronic schizophrenia patients.Methods:A total of 58 cases of chronic schizophrenia patients in risperidone drug treatment,were given EEg biofeedback therapy (EEG biofeedback group 30 cases) and traditional entertainment therapy (traditional entertainment therapy group of 28 cases).The cognitive evaluation tool connection test,simple visual space memory test (BVMT-R),WMS-Ⅲ space span test,Hopkins words learning test (HVLT-R),set the pace auditory continuous addition test (PASAT) and Wisconsin card sorting test (WCST-64)were used before and after eight weeks in the treatment for neuropsychological testing.With the positive and negative symptoms scale (PANSS) assessing clinical symptoms.Results:Before treatment and after treatment,PANSS scores of two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05),the two groups in neuropsychological test scores had no significant difference before treatment(t =0.22~0.47;P>0.05).After eight weeks of treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups in trail making test(t=2.10,2.07;P<0.05),retrograde(t=-2.52,P<0.05),HVLT-R(t=-2.86,P<0.01;t =-3.63,P<0.001 it =-10.35,P<0.001),BVMT-R(t =-5.01,P <0.001;t =-3.04,P <0.01;t =-4.23,P<0.001),PASAT (t =-20.65;P<0.001)and no significant differences were found in anterograde score of WMS-Ⅲ,last error number,complete classification number there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:EEG biofeedback treatment has more effect in improving cognitive function in chronic schizophrenia than traditional entertainment therapy group.关键词
