Research on the Characteristics of Learning Burnout of Undergraduates Majoring in Applied Psychology and Its Relationship with Self-efficacy and Social Support in Medical Colleges and Universities

Abstract
Objective:To understand the current situation of undergraduates' learning burnout in applied psychology in medical colleges and explore the relationship between their self-efficacy,social support and learning burnout.Methods:The college students' learning burnout scale,the general self-efficacy scale(GSES)and the social support rating scale(SSQ)were used to study the four grades of 268 undergraduates in two medical schools in Shandong province.The data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.Results:①There was a certain degree of learning burnout in the applied psychology undergraduates in medical colleges,and the worst was improper behaviors.②Male students' score of improper behaviors was significantly higher than that of female students(t =-2.39,P <0.05),while male students' score of depression was significantly lower than that of female students (t =2.63,P < 0.01).Freshmen,junior and senior students' scores in depression were significantly higher than those of sophomore students (F=2.63,P <0.05),and freshman and junior students' scores in improper behaviors and learning burnout were significantly higher than sophomore students(F=3.84,3.34;P<0.05)③There was a significantly negative correlation between self-efficacy and learning burnout(P<0.01).There was a significantly negative correlation between learning burnout and its three -dimensional and social support and its three dimensions,except that the correlation between support and achievement was not significant(P<0.01).Social support and subjective support scores were significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy(P<0.01)and objective support was significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy(P <0.05).④ Self-efficacy played a mediating role between social support and learning burnout,and the mediating effect accountted for 22.43 % of the total effect.Conclusion:Undergraduate students of applied psychology in medical colleges have moderate learning burnout.Their social support can not only directly affect their learning burnout,but also indirectly affect their learning burnout through self-efficacy.关键词
