摘要

Abstract

The snow on rails has influence on normal operation of trains. To accurately measure the snow depth on the rail and con-trol the running speed of the train to ensure the train safety running and overcome the shortcomings of single-point laser measure-ment of snow depth, this paper designs a multi-point measuring snow depth device. The device consists of a head, laser sensors, inclinometers and heating units and field experiments are made in a high-traffic segment ironwork. Test result shows this device is suited for operating in cold conditions. It meets the requirement of the multi-point continuous measurement and has high precision and its measurement results are stable;Compared with manual measurement, its error is within ±5 mm.
