Abstract
Objective To determine the effect of moisture chamber glasses on tear film stability after pterygium ex-cision.Methods A total of 50patients(50 eyes)with pterygium combined dry eye were recruited and randomly divided into two groups:moisture chamber glasses group(group A)and conventional treatment group(group B),25 eyes in each group.All cases received pterygium excision and conjunctival autograft transplantation, and tobramicin dexamethasone eye drops and sodium hyaluronate 0.1%after surgery.Patients in Group A wear moisture chamber glasses.Ocular surface dis-ease index(OSDI)questionnaire,Schirmer's I test(SIt)and tear break-up time(BUT)were carried before and after sur-gery to evaluate the dry eye degree of the patients.Results There was no statistical difference in OSDI,BUT,and SIt val-ues between the two groups preoperatively(P >0.05).But there was statistical difference in OSDI,BUT,andSItvalues be-tween the two groups at 3 months postoperatively(P <0.05).Conclusions Wearing moisture chamber glasses signifi-cantly improved tear film stability,and reduce the dry eye after pterygium surgery.关键词
