Abstract

The sample pretreatment conditions including different proteases and assisted enzymatic methods for dietary fiber determination were established according to the Chinese National Standard GB 5009.88-2014《Determination of dietery fiber in foods》. The total dietary fiber (TDF), insoluble dietary fiber (IDF) and soluble dietary fiber (SDF) in 15 wild vegetable samples collected from Hainan were analyzed using the modified method. The effects of different production area and harvest time on TDF content in 4 wild vegetable samples were analyzed. The results showed that papain treatmeat could improve the TDF content than other proteases. Ultrasonic assisted treatment removed impurities effectively and thus impurity content in TDF was lower. The contents and components of dietary fiber exhibited great difference within different wild vegetables. The difference of TDF contents of sauropus androgynus L. Merr collected from different production areas was significantly different, and that for Centella asiatica (L.) Urban was significant. There was no significant correlation between production areas and TDF content of Lycium chinense and Portulaca oleracea L.. The harvested time presented significantly different effects to the TDF content of Sauropus androgynus L. Merr, Portulaca oleracea L., Lycium chinense and Centella asiatica (L.) Urban.
