摘要

Abstract

In recent years,the bone materials based on titanium and its alloys have been widely used.In clinical research,the corrosion and wear of implants and the lack of osseointegration are the two main causes for the aseptic loosening,which can eventually lead to the failure of implantation.So,it is a hotspot in the area of bone tissue engineering to prepare the high performance material.Porous tantalum has satisfactory physico-chemical properties and can resist the corrosion and wear,meanwhile,its biocompatibility and porous structure can significantly promote the ingrowth of new bone and the proliferation ofosteoblast,further improve the capacity ofosseointegration.The development ofsurface modification technology give sporous tantalum more excellent performance and function,and expands its clinical application.In this paper,the physico-chemical/biological characteristics and osseointegration of porous tantalum will be reviewed.
