Status quo and correlation analysis of lidentity and core competence of new recraited nurses in infectious disease hospitals

Abstract
Objective:To probe into the status quo of the professional identity and core competence of new recraited nures in infectious disease hospitals and the correlation between them.Methods:The professional identity scale for nurses and competeney Inentory for registered nurse were used to investigate 114 new nurses in three grade A infectious diseases hospital in Nanjing and analyzed the relationship between professional identity and core competence.Results:The total score of professional identification of new recruited nurses in infectious disease hospital was(97.35±16.35),and the total score of core competence was(138.52±32.06),all in the middle lower level.The factors influencing the professional identity of new recruited nurses in infectious diseases hospitals were education level,medical personnel,source area and employment characteristics;the factors influencing the core competencies of new nurses in infectious diseases hospitals included education level,source area and employment characteristics;the core competencies of new recruited nurses were positively related to their professional identity(P<0.01).Conclusions:The professional identity and core competence of newly recruited nurses in infectious diseases hospitals were moderately lower and positively correlated;nursing administrators should formulate specific measures and career guidance according to the status quo of professional identity and core competence of new recruited nurses in infectious diseases hospital,so as to improve the professional identity and core competence of them.关键词
