信息系统可用性问题类型及严重度对用户主观情绪的影响
Effects of Usability Problems of Information Systems on Users' Subjective Emotions in Terms of Problem Type and Severity Rating
摘要
Abstract
Existing studies have verified that usability problems of information systems would affect users' emotional state,typically leading to negative emotions.However,very limited results are about the effects of usability problems on user subjective emotions in terms of problem type and severity rating.In this study,a two-factor mixed design with usability problem type and severity rating as experimental factors was conducted to examine the above-mentioned issue.Results showed that the effects of usability problems on user emotions varied according to their type and severity rating.Usability problems classified into full classification (FC) in task component or with higher severity rating could lead to more negative and less dominance subjective feelings.Effect of usability problem type on emotional valence was stronger when their severity ratings were relatively lower.These investigations suggest that usability problems classified into FC in task component or with higher severity rating should be assigned with a higher priority in the usability test.关键词
