Research on solid particle movement influencing factors of liquid-solid two-phase flow in pulp mixing

Abstract
In the pulp mixing process , the suspension speed is mainly related to impeller off-bottom clearance , pitch diameter , particle density , impeller diameter , blade angle , slurry solid concentration and other factors .In this paper, the impeller off-bottom clearance, blade angle, pitch diameter and particle mass fraction were se-lected as the main monitored parameters , the influence of these parameters on critical suspension speed was an-alyzed, and the function formula between the critical suspended speed and each parameter was fitted .This would provide the basis for the property optimization and design of solid-liquid mixing equipment .Results showed that the lower impeller clearance , larger blade angle , lower particle mass fraction and larger pitch diam-eter were beneficial to the suspension of the solid phase , and get smaller complete off-bottom critical suspension speed Njs.The formula could be listed as follow Njs =211· D-1.400· C0.208· X0.278· θ-0.426.The test results can be significant to industrial application of large slurry mixing tank .关键词
