Research on ticket price adjustment and optimization strategy of the Beijing—Shanghai high speed railway

Abstract
On the basis of the background of the marketing of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, and considering the service characteristics of different traffic modes, the general cost function was established and the model parameter was determined by investigating data. This paper, combining with Logit model, analyzed the relationship between ticket income and ticket price. The ticket price range was obtained which could make the ticket income more than the current income and then the price based on income maximization of railway enterprise was also derived, which could optimize adjustment the ticket price of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. In addition, on the basis of passenger transportation market segmentation, this paper investigated the sensitivity of passengers to the change of ticket price at different travel times, and the travel time differential pricing strategy of high speed railway was studied from the aspect of the time value of passengers. Then, taking Beijing-Shanghai section of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway as an example, the differential pricing scheme was presented which provided reference for fixing price by railway enterprises.关键词
