A Conducting Interval Optimized Sensorless Starting Method for Switched Reluctance Motor

Abstract
Sensorless starting method has always been an essential concern for switched reluctance motor(SRM).This paper presents a new starting method based on the current slope differences of conducting phase and non-conducting phase.Given the symmetrical characteristic of three-phase winding,incoming phase reaches its 0 degree at the cross-point of the current slope differences of conducting phase and non-conducting phase,the commutation will be completed simultaneously.Conducting interval has been optimized and starting efficiency has been improved.Furthermore,this starting method is suitable for smooth transition to high-speed sensorless method,so that the sensorless operation among wide-speed-range can be realized.Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the proposed method.关键词
