摘要

Abstract

An enhanced collision-avoidance RFID reader is designed to solve the problem of interferences and collisions in aerospace when RFID coexists with other wireless networks in the ISM bands.And the coexistence of RFID and ZigBee is illustrated to state and verify the effectiveness of the reader.The new RFID reader adopts a mechanism of contention ac-cess and is equipped with an ability of network coordination.When coexisting and intercon-necting with ZigBee,it is working as a coordinator and a controller to reduce the collision probability (from around 40% to almost 0 in the simulation) and to increase the network throughput.Besides solving the coexistence of RFID and ZigBee, the enhanced collision-avoidance RFID reader could also play a significant role when coexisting with other wireless networks.
