Abstract
Objective To explore and analyze the research status and hotspots of geriatric nursing based on PubMed database. Mehtods The articles about geriatric nursing published on PubMed from 2012 to 2016 were retrieved and then bibliometric analysis was carried out. Results Totally 1,199 articles were retrieved and the nucleus of the periodical group had formed but no stable research group was found. There were 22 keywords with frequency of occurrence higher than 26 times. Five research hotspots including the development of geriatric nursing education, care of elderly patients with dementia, nurse 's role in geriatric nursing, health assessment of the elderly and quality management of healthcare service for the aged were concluded. Conclusion Great achievement for the study of geriatric nursing at aboard is achieved, which provides reference for domestic nursing staff. And we should actively explore the development path for geriatric nursing in China.关键词
