Hospice Care for Children with Malignant Tumor through Remote Support by Health Professionals:A 86-case Study

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of hospice care on children with malignant tumor through remote support by health professionals. Methods We established a hospice care follow-up team and unified the mode of follow-up. Treatment and nursing guidance and psychological support were provided for 86 parents regularly and children's quality of life and parents' satisfaction with the follow-up were investigated. Results The quality of life of children was fluctuating. The quality of life was lower before receiving hospice care and at the last stage of hospice care, but it was higher during the process of hospice care. The support from medical professionals could alleviate the pain experience and manage the symptoms for children. Conclusion Hospice care though the remote support by health professionals could be an effective way to provide professional guidance for children with malignant tumor and their parents.关键词
