Abstract
Pathological changes on “shuibiezi” disease of crab species Eriocheir Sinensis are studied using histological sectioning technique.The main changes are hydrops in the body cavity,severe edema in many organs,atrophying and light-coloured hepatopancreas.The dystrophy of hepatopancreas is due to shrinking of their gland ducts.In 23 crab bodies studied,Intranuclear acidophilia inclusions and microsporidians in the glandular epithelial cells of the hepatopancreas are observed in 21 and 9 of the 23 crab bodies studied,respectively.This study shows that the “shuibiezi” disease of the crabs is probably caused by microsporidians and other factors,especially by viruses,and characterized by dystrophy of the hepatopancreas and abnormality of water metabolism.关键词
