Abstract
The inductive power transfer (IPT) system with dual transmitters is a good approach to achieve effective output power allocation of two inverters and enhance power supply capacity.This paper analyzed the dynamics of a dual transmitters based IPT system in the condition of output power ratio 1:1,and aimed to improve its tracking performance using a digital PI controller designed by the small signal model.An adequate phase angle stability margin of closed-loop small signal model then could be achieved.Firstly,the large signal model of the IPT system,the steady-state operating point were derived using generalized state-space averaging (GSSA) technique.Based on the previous work,the small signal model was established to describe how the load voltage reacts to a perturbation in its input.Then,the Matlab's PIDtool design toolbox was adopted to generate suitable theoretical PI controller gains for a fast response time in the load voltage.Meanwhile,the phase angle stability margin of closed-loop small signal model was verified accordingly.Finally,comparing the step response of the small signal model with the Simulink model and the experimental one respectively,the small signal model was proved to be closely matched to the experimental system's dynamics.The closed-loop digital PI controller ensured a fast response time of approximately 13ms in the load voltage,which was consistent with the theoretical design and validated the accuracy of the modeling.关键词
