Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of autologous costicartilage in combination with fat transplantation in correcting nasal deformity and middle facial depression in Binder syndrome patients by observing postoperative morphologic change, nasal cavity ventilation and articulation, etc. Methods 8 patients diagnosed with Binder syndrome were recruited. Autologous graft was obtained from the 6th and 7th costicartilage and incised into long strip, lamellar, mass and granular shape for reconstruction and repair of nasal columella, dorsum nasi, lateral nose, wing of nose, nasal septum and subunit nasal structures. The mixture of autologous fat and costicartilage granules was utilized for filling the apertura piriformis, nasal sill and maxillary sinus depression. Results All 8 patients were followed up with the maximal duration of 5 years. All cases were satisfied with the cosmetic effect of deformity correction and improvement of nasal function. Conclusion Autologous costicartilage combined with fat transplantation is effective in the treatment of nasal deformity and middle facial depression. It can improve nasal function to varying degree and yield stable long-term efficacy.关键词
