WaveOne镍钛锉用于老年人残根残冠一次法根管治疗效果分析
Clinical Study on One-visit Endodontic Treatment with WaveOne for Residual Root and Crown in the Elderly People

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the preparation times and the post-operative pain level of one-visit endodontic treatment using WaveOne and K file for residual root and crown in the elderly people. Methods A total of 187 residual roots and crowns were selected from 115 elderly patients.They were randomly divided into WaveOne group (n=98) and K file group (n = 99). Two groups were treated with one-time root canal therapy, The experimental group used WaveOne nickel titanium with crown-down method, and the control group using stainless steel K files with step-back technique. A comparison of the clinical results was done between the two groups. The main assessments included before-operative, 24h and 7 days of post-operation pain evaluated by patients and dentists, meanwhile the preparation times for each time was recorded. Results The time required to prepare the canals was shorter in WaveOne group than in stainless steel K files group (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance between the groups for before-operative and 7 days of post-operative pain of one-visit endodontic treatment(P>0.05), but there was significant difference between the two groups in postoperative 24h pain (P<0.05). Conclusion One-visit endodontic treatment using WaveOne for the treatment of the residual root and crown of the aged patients can shorten the treatment time, improve the efficiency of root canal preparation and reduce postoperative pain.关键词
