Analysis of the influence of pregnancy and delivery on the size of pelvis of primiparas by using MRI 3D reconstruction

Abstract
Objective To analyze pelvis' changes of term pregnant women before and after delivery based on MRI 3D.Methods Collect original MRI data of 120 nulliparous cases and 240 primiparas with singleton from January 2013 to November 2016 at the Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University,who underwent magnetic resonance (MR)exam of pelvic between 37-42 weeks.Among them,73 cases of primiparas underwent MRI exam again after delivery.Then we constructed 3D pelvic model of them respectively,and did the pelvimetry.Results (1) Compared with nulliparous women,pelvic clinical type of antenatal pregnancies had no obvious changes,which was female type > ape type > flat type>male type,but the transverse diameter was slightly bigger (0.2-0.3 cm),and angle of pubic arch bigger,yet inclination of pelvis smaller.(2)Changes of pelvis after different delivery were different.At 42 days after vaginal labor,middle anterior-posterior diameter and outlet anterior-posterior diameter increased (about 0.2 cm),and they recovered after 6 months as nulliparous.However dimension of pelvis had no significant change before and after cesarean section.(3) The sacroiliac joint gap and pubic symphysis gap widened in late pregnancy compared with nulliparous,and decreased 42 d after delivery.Pubic symphysis gap returned back to nulliparous level 6 months after delivery,but the sacroiliac joint gap had no obvious changes compared with late pregnancy.Conclusion The impact of pregnancy and delivery on pelvis are different according to different delivery mode,and most pelvis can recover to the state of late pregnancy 6 months after delivery.关键词
