摘要
Abstract
As knowledge of middle ear physiology and biological characteristics of cholesteatoma continues to ad-vance, surgical techniques for middle ear cholesteatoma are constantly being refined by generations of otologists. De-spite the dramatic improvement made so far, there are still problems to be solved, such as improving pathology removal rate while avoiding CWD operations, and lowering recurrence rate. When endoscopic techniques were introduced for middle ear surgery, they brought remarkable changes and innovations. Compared with microscopic approach, endoscop-ic techniques show unique advantages with multiple angles and magnification, which facilitate removal of hiding choles-teatoma matrix while preserving normal external ear canal structures. This article will summarize some strategies and ex-perience of endoscopic techniques as applied in middle ear surgeries for cholesteatoma.关键词
