Abstract
Objective To report CT and MRI appearances of temporal bone meningioma en plaque. Methods CT and MRI findings in 4 patients with temporal bone meningioma en plaque were retrospectively reviewed. Results In all cases, CT typically showed hyperostosis of the temporal bone and hairy margins of the affected area. On MRI, the du-ra-based soft mass showed moderate to marked enhancement. Associated inflamation and cholesteatoma were seen in the middle ear or mastoid. Conclusions CT can clearly demonstrate the hyperostotic changes, which has an important value in making the diagnosis of meningioma en plaque. MRI can reveal soft tissue masses and involvement of adjacent structures. Combination of CT and MRI is of great value in the diagnosis and treatment of temporal bone meningioma en plaque.关键词
