Abstract

In order to study the suitable nitrogen fertilizer application rates and plant density for high yield of early-mature rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) under direct-sowing conditions in rice-rapeseed rotation system,field experiment with high quality and early-mature variety'Chongrongyou 1'was conducted in Chengdu Plain with four nitrogen (N) fertilizer rates (0,135,180,225 kg/hm2) and three planting densities (30 × 104/hm2 、60 × 104/hm2).The results indicated that plant height,primary branches number and length of main inflorescence were increased significantly as the increasing of N fertilizer applied rates,but the plant height and primary branches number were decreased.There were increase tendency of seed yield(2766.5 ~ 3186.5 kg/hm2)and nitrogen fertilizer contribution rate (NRC,45.0% ~ 52.4%) to yield as the increasing of N fertilizer rates.However,agronomic N fertilizer use efficiency (ANUE,9.3 ~ 7.4 kg/kg) and partial factor productivity of applied N fertilizer (PFPN,20.5 ~ 14.2 kg/kg) were decreased as the increasing of N fertilizer applied rates.There was no significant difference in seed yield between different plant densities.The difference in oil content (%) was also not significant among the N fertilizer rates (135 ~ 225 kg/hm2).A lodging tendency of early-mature rapeseed was occurred at at 60 treatment in the field.Therefore,the N fertilizer application rate at 180 kg/hrn2 and suitable plant density at 30 × 104 plant/hm2 would be the favorable for higher yield,higher nitrogen fertilizer use efficiency of early-mature rapeseed under the condition of direct-sown in rice-rapeseed rotation system of Chengdu plain.
