Analysis on Corrosion Resistance Properties of Hot Dip Galvanizing and Cold-spraying Zinc for Power Transmission Tower
摘要
Abstract
This paper introduces basic procedures of hot dip galvanizing and cold-spraying zinc used for protection techniques for metal surface of the power grid tower and makes environmental simulation tests on these two samples. Result of neutral salt spray test for 500 h indicates that corrosion resistance properties of hot dip galvanizing and cold-spraying zinc both con-form to standard requirement. Result of further neutral salt spray test for 1000 h indicates corrosion resistance of the cold-spraying zinc layer with coating is better. Results of damp heat test and SO2 corrosive gas test indicate protecting effects of hot dip galvanizing layer and cold-spraying zinc layer are the same. Abrasive resistance test result indicates that abrasive re-sistance of the cold-spraying zinc layer with coating is better than that without coating. Thus,it suggests to employ a way of cold-spraying zinc with coating for corrosion prevention and secondary repair for outdoors transmission towers which can a-chieve the expected result of corrosion prevention for most of heavy corrosion prevention coatings.关键词
