摘要

Abstract

A"one-pot"hydrothermal route was used to fabricate CuS modified graphitic carbon nitride ( g-C3N4/CuS ) composite photocatalyst . The sample was characterized by a series of analytical techniques such as SEM , XRD, FT-IR, DRS etc.The photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared catalyst was evaluated by reducing of Cr ( VI ) under visible light irradiation . The results show that the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4/CuS composite photocatalyst is superior to that of pure g-C3N4 and CuS. Under visible light excitation , the removal rate of Cr ( VI) is up to 70%within 180 min.The introduction of CuS not only broadens the range of visible light absorption , but also slows down the recombination rate of photogenerated electrons and holes , thus improving the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4/CuS.The catalytic activity of the composites is greatly influenced by the pH value of the solution , and the photocatalytic reaction is more favorable under acidic conditions .The coexistence of low concentration of humic acid has no significant effect on the removal of Cr ( VI ) .The g-C3N4/CuS showes excellent catalytic activity under visible light and can be used for photocatalytic reduction of Cr (VI) in wastewater.
