Effect of Xingnao Kaiqiao Acupuncture on IGF-1, MMP-2 and MMP-9 Expression in Patients with Vascular Dementia

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture on insulin-like growth factors (IGF-1),matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) expression in patients with vascular dementia.Methods:140 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,each of 70 cases.The two groups of patients were given the appropriate treatment after admission,the experimental group patients were given the Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture based on the basic treatment,the control group of patients taking the experimental group of patients taking the side of the opening of the 0.5 cm nonpoint.Observation and comparison simple mental state scale (MMSE),IGF-1 and MMP-2,MMP-9 levels of two groups of patients before and after the treatment.Results:Compared with before treatment,MMSE score and IGF-1 levels were increased,MMP-2 and MMP-9 decreased after the treatment of two groups of patients,the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05);compared with the control group,the MMSE score level and the IGF-1 level were higher,MMP-2 and MMP-9 levels were lower in experimental group,the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture can significantly improve the level of serum IGF-1,MMP-2,MMP-9 in patients with vascular dementia,improve the cognitive function of patients,the clinical effect is better.关键词
