Progress of Genome-wide Association Analysis on Important Economic Traits of Livestock and Poultry
摘要
Abstract
In the past,we have been able to understand the function of some genes by candidate gene analysis and quantitative trait locus (QTL) linkage analysis.However,many genes controlling the economic traits of livestock and poultry can not be separated and identified.With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,and the human genome project (HGP) and whole genome sequencing of many species has been completed,genome-wide association study (GWAS) has become an important method for the study of complex traits.This paper reviewed the genome-wide association analysis research progress on complex and important economic traits in livestock,and arranged the achievements made in the study of animal economic traits in recent years,as well as summarized the current research on GWAS methods and strategies,in order to provide a reference for the genetic basis of complex traits of livestock and poultry by GWAS,and lay the foundation for animal breeding in the future.关键词
