Effects of Different Dietary Crude Fiber Levels on the Growth Performance and Slaughter Performance of Finishing Pigs

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of different dietary crude fiber levels on the growth performance and carcass performance of finishing Sushan pigs.A total of forty-five Sushan pigs,with 60Kg of average body weight and similar body conditions,were allocated to three groups with fifteen replicates per group.The levels of dietary crude fiber were 8.35%,9.10% and 11.39%,respectively.At the end of each experiment,5 pigs were randomly selected and slaughtered.The results showed as follows:(1) Dietary crude fiber levels can affect the growth speed of Sushan pig.The average daily gain of B group was higher than that of A group and C group,there was significantly difference between B group and A group(P<0.05).(2) Dietary crude fiber levels can affect the blood biochemical indexes of Sushan pig.The levels of urea nitrogen,total cholesterol and high density lipoprotein in B group were significantly higher than those in C group (P<0.05).The urea nitrogen in group C was significantly higher than that in group A (P<0.05).(3) The crude fiber level can affect the slaughter performance of Sushan pig.The level of crude fiber was increased while the fat rate was decreased.Meat fat ratio of B group and C group were significantly higher than that of A group (P<0.05).In conclusion,the crude fiber level in the diet can increase the growth rate of Sushan pig,reduce the fat rate of finishing pigs,and improve meat fat ratio of finishing pigs.Dietary fiber may affect the development of small intestine,large intestine,heart and lung of finishing pigs.关键词
