Why is down-regulation protocol the optimal stimulation regimen in China?
摘要
Abstract
During the procedure of IVF-ET,pituitary suppression is used to prevent premature LH surge and induce multiple follicle growth.GnRH agonist(GnRH-a) long protocol and GnRH antagonist (GnRH-ant) protocol are widely used for suppressing pituitary function in most ART centers in China.This article used" SWOT" to analyse the benefits and shortcomings of GnRH-a long protocol.Its advantages include application for a long time,experienced,applicable for diverse groups,more oocytes retrieved,better pregnancy outcome,and weaknesses include more dosage and longer duration of Gn used,higher risk of OHSS.The application of GnRH-a long protocol meets opportunity(higher success rate,freeze-all policy to prevent OH SS) and challenges(longer treatment).Finally,it has been discussed why GnRH-a long protocol is the preferred protocol in China.关键词
