Abstract
Subclinical Cushing's syndrome (SCS) is a condition of biochemical cortisol excess without the dassical signs or syndromes of overt Cushing's syndrome,it is estimated to be present in 1.0％-29.0％ of patients with adrenal incidentaloma(AI).And the available data suggest that SCS may be associated with chronic complications,such as hypertension,diabetes mellitus,overweight/obesity,osteoporosis,and cardiovascular events.However,the concept and diagnosis of SCS remains a controversial issue.The present manuscript reviews the literatures regarding to the evaluation of different tests to identify SCS in patients with AI.From these literatures we draw conclusions that lmg-dexamethasone suppression test is the best test to the diagnosis of SCS in AI patients,followed by 0:00 serum cortisol,then 8:00 ACTH,24hr-urinary free cortisol is of limited value.Combination of multiple tests could improve the diagnostic performance.关键词
