摘要

Abstract

The casting austenitic stainless steel with strong magnetism, can not meet the requirements of customers. Microstructure of the casting austenitic stainless steels was observed by OM, SEM and XRD and the reasons of its ferromagnetic properties were studied. From the aspects of solidification theory and Schaeffler model, the countermeasures were put forward. The results show that the casting austenitic stainless steel is composed of austenite, reticular or small lumps of δ ferrite and chromium carbides. The excessive ferrite contents result in strong magnetic of the stainless steel. And its content can be reduced through adjusting the elemental content, namely, reducing the ferrite forming elements such as Cr, Si, Mo, Nb, and increasing austenite forming element such as Ni, C, N, Mn. Theoretically, the casting cost can be controlled by reducing the content of Ni as much as possible.
