摘要

Abstract

According to the structural characteristics and performance requirements of aluminum alloy rear wheel cowl, vacuum die casting processes were designed including casting structure, parting surface, gating system, overflowing system, number of vacuum valves, and the die design and the die casting technology parameters. By using of the MAGMA software the process was analyzed and improved. Local squeeze process was applied at the local thickness areas where the shrinkage defects easily occurred.
