A Energy Balance Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract
In order to extend the life cycle of battery-powered wireless sensor networks( WSNs) , a routing algorithm is proposed in which the energy consumption of a single node and the total energy required to transmit information to the sink node are both taken into account. At first, the algorithm selects the nodes to be planned according to the order of nodes in the network to the sink node from small to large distance. And then it calculates the evaluation parameters of each corresponding candidate node, which is calculated by weighting the single node energy consumption and the total energy consumption required by the node to transmit the information to the sink node. Finally, it selects the candidate node with the smallest evaluation parameter as the relay node. The simulation results show that the life cycle of the algorithm is much longer than that of the LEACH( Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) algorithm.关键词
