Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between atypical antipsychotics and cerebrovascular accidents in patients with Alzheimer's disease. Methods A total of 176 cases of Alzheimer's disease in our hospital were given atypical antipsychotic treatment, the treatment period was 3 months, compared the levels of risk factors of cerebrovascular accidents [mean arterial pressure, blood glucose, triglyceride (TG)] before and after treatment, and evaluated the relationship between the two. Results The incidence of cerebrovascular accidents 1 month after treatment was significantly lower than that 3 months after treatment (17.6% vs.31.3%,P<0.05);before treatment,1 month after treatment,3 months after treatment, mean arterial pressure showed a gradually decreasing trend, fasting blood glucose and TG showed a gradually increasing trend, the three indexes were respectively significantly different (P<0.05).Conclusion Atypical antipsychotics can cause low blood pressure, hyperglycemia, and high TG in Alzheimer's patients, which can lead to cerebrovascular accidents.关键词
