通过减小光系统捕光天线尺寸提高水稻光能转化效率的途径探讨
Approaches to improve solar energy conversion efficiency in rice by decreasing the light-harvesting antenna size of the light-harvesting complex

Abstract
For annual C3 crops,like rice,the typical solar energy conversion efficiency is very low,usually less than 1%.Reducing the energy losses in photosynthesis would improve solar energy conversion efficiency and boost the yield of rice.In this paper,the biophysical steps in photosynthesis systems involved in lowering the solar energy conversion efficiency were discussed,of which the non-photochemical quenching due to excessively absorbed solar radiation was a significant loss of captured solar energy.We explored the mechanisms that truncated antenna size of light-harvesting complex (LHC) would avoid excessively light absorption,over excitation of the reaction center,and generation of superoxide radicals,alleviate photoinhibition,and improve photosynthetic electron transport rate and photosynthesis rate.We summarized current progresses in improving solar energy conversion efficiency by truncating antenna size of LHC in different species.In the end,we discussed the future prospects of modulating the size of antenna of LHC in rice to improve photosynthetic efficiency and canopy photosynthesis.关键词
