Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of infection quality control team of ICU in the prevention of central venous catheter-related bloodstream infection.Methods Infection quality control team was established from January 2011 andbefore December 2010 there was no infection management quality control team in pediatric intensive care unit(PICU).After implement,the responsibility of infection quality control team was defined clearly,objective surveillance of central venous catheter was launched and every link of central venous catheter pathway was managed subtly.As for evaluation criteria,incidence of catheter-related bloodstream infection (CLABSI) before and after establishment of infection quality control team was compared.Results After taking a series of measures,the usage rate of central venous catheter decreased from 42.50％ in 2010 to 35.04％,and the rate of central venous related bloodstream infection dropped from 5.80‰ to 1.28‰.Conclusion The establishment of the infection quality control team plays an important role in the implementation of infection control measures,standardizing the working procedures,improving working efficiency and quality monitoring,which is of great significance for the prevention of catheter-related bloodstream infection.关键词
