空巢老年糖尿病病人自我管理行为与社会支持的相关性研究
Correlation study between self-management behavior and social support in empty nest elderly patients with diabetes

Abstract
Objective:To probe into the self-management status and social support of empty nest elderly patients with diabetes,and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 122 hospitalized empty nest elderly patients with diabetes in Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM by using general questionnaire,the summary of diabetes self-care activities(SDSCA) and Social Science Research Solutions(SSRS).Results:The self management level of the empty nest elderly patients with diabetes was poor,and the total score was(37.42 ± 9.78),the highests scores were the compliance of medication(6.94±0.63) and diet control(4.89-±-1.59),the social support level was low,score was(35.60±7.89) and all dimensions scores were lower than the norm.Correlation study showed that there was a positive correlation between the level of self-management and the scores of social support(r=0.322,P＜0.05).Conclusions:The self-management ability of the empty nest elderly patients with diabetes was poor,and there was insufficient in foot care and exercising regularly,and their social support level was not high.Clinical nurses should strengthen the evaluation of patients' self-care ability and social support,give individualized guidance and improve their social support and self-management level,so as to further improve their quality of life.关键词
