Abstract
ln order to obtain high gain and directivity,the horn antennas and folded optical lens antennas applied in automotive radars usually have long length and large aperture.A horn antenna with metamaterial flat lens has been designed to shorten the length without changing the area of its aperture for the reduction of its volume and costs.Its gain is 1.5 dB higher than the ordinary horn antenna with the same dimension.Based on this structure,a modified structure is present after the analysis of the phase distribution in the mouth of the horn.The latter one's gain is 2.3 dB higher than the ordinary one with the same dimension,meanwhile its length is shortened 44 % than the ordinary long horn antenna with the same gain.This metamaterial horn antenna indeed can enhance 2.5 dB radiation gain according to the experiment results.关键词
