Abstract
Objective To analyze and investigate the effects of endoscopic transsphenoidal approach (EETA) surgery on macrophage inflammatory protein and interleukin in patients with craniopharyngioma. Methods Sixty-eight cases of patients with craniopharyngioma were selected, which were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from August 2012 to August 2016,and they were divided into EETA group (34 cases) and DTCA group (34 cases). The patients of EETA group were.treated with EETA.The patients of DTCA group were treated with general Transcranial surgery (DTCA).Observe and compare the surgical treatment and changes of the levels of serum macrophage inflammatory protein 1 α (MIP-1α),interleukin 6 (IL-6),interleukin 8 (IL-8) of two groups. Results The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, tumor resection time and length of stay of EETA group were significantly lower than those of DTCA group (t =16.770,25.865,9.882,4.146,P <0.05);The pituitary retention rate of EETA group were significantly higher than those of DTCA group (69.6% vs.40.0%,x2 =4.218,P <0.01);In the terms of serum MIP-1α,IL-6,IL-8,the patients of two groups were all significantly decreased than before (P < 0.05),and the patients of EETA group got more significant decline (t =7.823,5.002,8.865,P < 0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in postoperative complications between the two groups (P > 0.05).Conclusion For treating patients with craniopharyngioma, endoscopic transsphenoidal approach surgery can achieve good clinical results, effectively reduce serum IL-6,IL-8,MIP-1α levels, and it has a high security, which makes it worthy of popularization and application.关键词
