摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of ear canal sound pressure induced by bone-conducted sound on bone conducted hearing in high frequencies.Methods Eight ears from young volunteers (aged from 23 to 42) sex were selected for the experiment.All had no ear diseases and air-bone conduction gaps.Pure tone hearing levels were lower or equal to 25 dB HL at 250,500,1000,2000,4000 and 6000 Hz.Middle ear cavity pressure was normal (±50 daPa).Tympanic membrane umbo velocity,tympanic ring velocity and sound pressure of open and occluded ears canal were measured.We analyzed the air-conducted sound induced umbo velocity and difference value of bone-conducted sound induced velocity between umbo and tympanic ring.The comparison of the sound pressure of open and occluded ear canals was conducted.Results The umbo velocity induced by air-conducted sound is larger than the umbo velocity induced by bone-conducted sound.The sound pressure of occluded ear canals is larger than the sound pressure of open ear canals when ears are stimulated by bone-conducted sound.There is little difference between the sound pressure induced by air-conducted and bone-conducted sound in the frequency higher than 3000 Hz.All the results are based on the hearing threshold.Conclusion The ear canal sound pressure may have a relative noticeable effect on bone-conducted audition in the frequency higher than 3000 Hz.It is necessary to further study and clarify its mechanism.
