摘要

Abstract

Objective The purpose of this paper is to compare a general trend of several auditory abilities of binauralbimodal fitting children and those with unilateral cochlear implants,as well as the development of speech intelligence in different rehabilitation stages,in order to provide evidence for clinical practice after implantation.Methods 71 binauralbimodal fitting children and 78 children with unilateral cochlear implants took five hearing ability assessments (double syllable words,vowel,initials consonants,short sentence and the speech recognition in noise) after cochlear implantation for 3 months,6 months and 12 months respectively.Results During the rehabilitation stage of 3 months to 12 months after cochlear implantation.Linear tendency of two group in all auditory abilities is significant(P<0.01),Quadratic tendency of two group in double syllable words assessment is significant(P<0.05),Quadratic tendency of binaural-bimodal fitting group in vowel and short sentences assessment is significant(P<0.05).No significant tendency was observed in the group with unilateral cochlear implants;Quadratic tendency of two group in initial consonant and speech recognition in noise assessment is not significant;when comparing the rate of speech recognition in different hearing environment,we found that there existed significant differences for the two group both in quiet and noise environments after cochlear implantation for 3 months,and a significant difference can be observed in speech recognition in noise assessment of the two group for 6 months.Conclusions In the recognition of vowel and short sentences,binaural-bimodal fitting children develop faster than those with unilateral cochlear implantation,and achieve rehabilitation goals earlier;binaural-bimodal fitting can contribute to the implantation improvement of speech recognition in noise for children with cochlear implantation.
