Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To probe into the efficacy and safety of levetiracetam combined with oxcarbazepine in treatment of children with epilepsy.METHODS:88 children with epilepsy admitted into the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from Jun.2015 to Aug.2016 were selected to be divided into observation group and control group via the random number table,with 44 cases in each.The control group was given oxcarbazepine,while the observation group additionally received levetiracetam based on the control group.The epilepsy,improvement of electroencephalogram (EEG) and incidence of adverse drug reactions in two groups were observed.RESULTS:The total effective rate of epilepsy in observation group was 97.73％ (43/44),significantly higher than that in control group [86.36％ (38/44)];the total effective rate of improvement of EEG in observation group was 95.45％ (42/44),significantly higher than that in control group [77.27％ (34/44)];the incidence of adverse drug reactions of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group,with statistically significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy of levetiracetam combined with oxcarbazepine in treatment of children with epilepsy is remarkable,which can effectively improve the gray epileptiform discharge with high safety.关键词
