Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of stilletto-needling (Pizhen) therapy combined with Gouteng Longmu decoction in reducing muscular tensions for stroke patients.Methods:98 patients with hypermyotonia were randomly divided into two groups, the Pizhen group(n =49) and the common acupuncture group (n =49),both groups were also treated with Gouteng Longmu decoction on the basis of acupuncture. The treatments lasted for six weeks.NIHSS score,Ashworth rating scale,MBI score, and total efficacy were observed and compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:After treatment,NIHSS scores were significantly decreased in the two groups,in which the Pizhen group was more lower than the common acupuncture group (P < 0.05);Ashworth scale ratings were reduced to varying degrees, but the Pizhen group was significantly lower than the common acupuncture group (P < 0.05);MBI scores were distinctively increased, but the Pizhen group improved more than the common acupuncture group (P < 0.05);the total effective rate was 89.80% in the Pizhen group, which was significantly higher than 67.35% of the common acupuncture group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Stilletto-needling therapy combined with Gouteng Longmu decoction can effectively improve the body spasticity after stroke, reduce musclular tension, promote the recovery of motor function, which has important significance to improve the life quality of stroke patients.关键词
