Abstract

In order to investigate the effects of substrate mix ratio on the reactor performance and microbial community diversity of anaerobic mesophilic co-digester when treated pig manure (PM) and dewatered sludge (DS),lab-scale tests were carried out at five volatile solid (VS) ratios of PM/DS at 1 ∶ 0,2 ∶ 1,1 ∶ 1,1 ∶ 2,and 0∶ 1.16S rRNA amplicon high-throughput sequencing was also applied to reveal the microbial community composition.Results showed that digestion efficiency was improved significantly by the addition of PM.When ratio of PM∶ DS is 2∶ 1,the optimal methane daily production reached 684 L · kg-1VS,which was 120% higher than DS alone.At this point,VS remove rate also increased to 63.1% without restriction of accumulative VFA concentration.Meanwhile,dominant genus in codigestion group include Bacteroides,Clostridium,Methanosaeta and Methanosarcina.Redundancy analysis revealed methane conversion was mainly dominated by hydrogenotrophic pathway.Co-digestion of PM increased microbial community diversity then promoted synergistic effects between different species,finally better digestion performance was achieved.
