Abstract

Through analyses of the uniaxial compressive strength and the curing time of cemented backfill body for various cement-tailing ratios and slurry concentrations, positive correlation mathemat-ical expressions between the strength of cemented backfill body and the curing age are established. The energy matching coefficient K is introduced to show the energy density relationship between the backfill body deformation and the ore excavation at the open stope with the subsequent filling method, which obtain relationships between the K coefficient and elastic modulus of ore, the vertical stress, the curing strength of cemented backfill and the curing time of cemented backfill body. Based on that, the exca-vated time in the second step is quantitatively analyzed. The slurry concentration of 75% and ce-ment-tailing ratio of 1:8 and 42 days curing time are selected for the engineering application of Lilou iron mine, which shorts the curing age by 18 d than original design.
