摘要

Abstract

A transport cask has been developed for transporting CEFR-MOX fuel assembly outside plant. Its safety features such as physical property, shielding property, thermal performance and containment shall be up to the standards on safe transportation of radioactive materials. Moreover, it must be highly effective in cushioning, insulation, containment and shielding so as to minimize environmental damage from fuel assemblies under normal and accident conditions. During its development, many optimizations of the structure are conducted based on finite element analysis. Theoretical analysis and calculation demonstrate that its safety performance is as specified by the related regulations with large margin, and the transport cask is of certain novelty. In addition, theoretical analysis provides basis for making experiment scheme.
