Determination of contents of dexamethasone acetate and chloramphenicol in Compound Pikang Cream by HPLC

Abstract
Objective To establish the method for determining the contents of dexamethasone acetate and chloramphenicol in Compound Pikang Cream by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Methods HPLC was used for determining the contents of dexamethasone acetate and chloramphenicol in Compound Pikang Cream,with methanol-water (70∶30) as the mobile phase;the determined wavelength was 240 nm,and tests on linearity,precision,stability and recovery were conducted respectively.Results Dexamethasone acetate and chloramphenicol were within the concentration range of 2.18-17.44 μg/ml and 20.72-165.74 μg/ml and had a good linear relation with respective peak area;within 24 h,the precision and stability of the determination results were good;the recovery of dexamethasone acetate sample was 98.45％(RSD=0.9％) and that of chloramphenicol was 98.06％ (RSD=0.6％).Conclusion HPLC can be applied to accurate determination of the contents of dexamethasone acetate and chloramphenicol in Compound Pikang Cream simultaneously,has high specificity,precision and recovery,and is suitable for the quality control of the preparation.关键词
