Abstract
Objective To observe the effects and tolerance of Huachansu Capsule in the aided treatment of advanced breast cancer,Methods A total of 62 patients with advanced breast cancer were randomly divided into a control group and a combination group (n=31,respectively).The control group received capecitabine basic regimen chemotherapy and the combination group was additionally treated with Huachansu Capsule.The short-term effects,serum tumor markers,adverse reactions and survival rate between the two groups were compared.Results The difference in the treatment remission rate and the overall response rate (ORR)between the two groups was not significant (P ＞ 0.05);after chemotherapy,the serum carcino-emhryonic antigen (CEA),β2-microglobulin (β2-MG),carbohydrate antigens CA125 and CA153 in the two groups decreased significantly (P ＜ 0.05),and the decrease in the combination group was greater than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05);the degree of adverse reactions,such as neutropenia,anaemia and thrombocytopenia in the combination group,was significantly lower than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05);the median survival time (MST),overall survival time (OST) and one-year local tumor control rate in the combination group were longer or greater than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Huachansu Capsule can significantly improve the short-term effects of capecitabine basic regimen chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced breast cancer,lower the levels of serum tumor markers,reduce the adverse reaction of chemotherapy,increase patient tolerance and prolong the survival time of patients.关键词
