Effects of rhEGF gel in prevention of radiodermatitis of cervical cancer induced by different radiation doses

Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) gel in the prevention of radiodermatitis of cervical cancer induced by different radiation doses in the process of cervical cancer radiotherapy.Methods A total of 85 patients with cervical cancer to receive chemotherapy were divided into a control group (n=40) and an intervention group(n=45) according to the sequence of admission time.The two groups received routine skin care,and the intervention group was simultaneously applied with rhEGF gel on the irradiation field and surrounding skin.The incidence and healing time of radiodermatitis between the two groups were compared.Results With the increase of irradiation dose,the incidence of radiodermatitis in the two groups increased accordingly.The overall incidence of radiodermatitis in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05);with the increase of irradiation dose,the healing time in the two groups gradually extended,but the healing time in the intervention group was much shorter than that in the control group under different irradiation doses (P < 0.05).Conclusion rhEGF gel can protect the skin of patients to receive cervical carcinoma radiotherapy,lower the incidence of radiodermatitis and promote the healing,and is a safe and effective preparation for preventing radiodermatitis.关键词
