Progress in the research of intracranial arterial remodeling: from the concept of focal remodeling to diffuse remodeling
摘要
Abstract
In recent years,soholars have come to realize that artery is an active organ,which can react with expansion or constriction (i.e.,arterial remodeling) to various physiologic or pathophysiologic conditions.Focal arterial remodeling was initially reported in the studies of coronary heart disease and peripheral atherosclerotic disease.More recently,the presentation of diffuse arterial remodeling was also observed.In this review,we will elaborate the definition and classification of arterial remodeling,its diagnostic methods,the mechanisms of arterial remodeling and its clinical significance.关键词
