Effects of Heat Stress on Growth Performance, Behavior, and Physiology in Pigs and Regulation Measures
摘要
Abstract
Intensively swine production could lead to stress which affecting the health and growth of pigs,though it is beneficial to production efficiency.The pig house ambient temperature is one of the main external pressures to the pig.For the south and mid-west parts of China,the climate temperature is the extremely high and it's a long duration in summer which causes heat stress to pigs,therefore,results intremendous economic loss to the pig industry.This paper reviews the effects of heat stress on growth performance,behaviors and physiology,and summarized feasible solutions in terms of managements and nutritional,for the purpose of providing a theoretical basis and guidance for alleviating heat stress to pigs in practices.关键词
